Indy Ink

I’ve been thinking about tattoos a lot lately. I don’t have any ink right now, but that could change in the near future. I use to be firmly anti-tattoo, but I’ve been thinking it could give me some much needed edge. The problem  is trying to figure out what kind of tattoo I want. It would have to be something creative and reflective of my personality. I thought about possibly getting a Scrabble board on my back, but that seems too cliché. After careful consideration, here’s what I’ve come up with:

I’m a big fan of seafood and one my favorites is salmon. I’ve been thinking of getting a salmon tattoo on my left arm. The only  problem is I’m a little worried salmon don’t give off the edge I’m looking for. I’ve been thinking in order to spice things up a bit. I should maybe get a tattoo of a salmon eating something. Maybe a bear. I’m not sure exactly how that would work, but I’m sure I can find an artist who draw up a classy tat of a salmon gnaw at the neck of a grizzly.

New Orleans Saints

Anyone who knows me well knows I’m a diehard New Orleans Saints fan. The Saints have had a rough time lately and I’ve been thinking of getting a tattoo to show my support. If I were normal, I would simply get their logo emblazoned on my body somewhere. Maybe on my chest. However, I’ve been thinking of doing something more like this:

If all else fails, I may settle for a monocle tattoo. I recently bought a new one after I lost my first monocle during an early morning run. It probably wasn’t the brightest idea to run with a monocle, but you only live once. I can’t explain why, but monocles make me happy. There’s something magical about it. I want to a monocle tattooed to the middle of my chest with a chain wrapped around my neck. This way I can show my appreciation for monocles while still engaging in physical activities.

I’ll give myself a few weeks to weigh my choices and then I’ll make a decision. In the mean time, I am open to other suggestions.
